DBT Therapy for Teens
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for teens is a structured and evidence-based approach that teaches teens the skills needed to navigate complex emotional landscapes.
We focus on teen mental health, treating individuals aged 13 to 17 with mild symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues, or substance use. The program aligns with their school schedule, allowing them to maintain their routine while receiving the care they need.
Our Teen DBT Therapy program is designed to support adolescents in managing intense emotions and developing healthy coping mechanisms. This specialized therapy is particularly beneficial for teens struggling with emotional dysregulation, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and behavioral challenges.
Our DBT program runs from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with two daily group sessions. Teens can participate either 3 or 5 days per week, depending on their individual needs and therapeutic goals. Typically, participants engage in the program for 12-20 weeks, but the duration can vary based on progress and individual circumstances.
Each teen receives a personalized treatment plan tailored to their specific needs. Our multidisciplinary team collaborates closely to ensure that each adolescent receives comprehensive care, including individual therapy, group therapy, and family sessions. Parental involvement is encouraged to reinforce the skills learned during therapy and support the teen's journey.
Our DBT program creates a supportive community where teens can connect with peers facing similar challenges. Through group therapy sessions, they learn to share their experiences, practice new skills in a safe environment, and build meaningful relationships. Parents also benefit from dedicated support groups and coaching to help navigate their teen's therapy journey.
