How Does the After-School Recovery Program Work?
If you’ve landed on this page, there’s a good chance you suspect that your teen or adolescent is abusing substances or has a mental illness that can lead to addiction. The Principles Academy for Adolescent was created when the staff at Principles Recovery Center saw a great need in the local community for adolescent services. We know that the rate of addiction in America has increased, to the point that in fact, 1 in 7 Americans will suffer from a substance abuse disorder once in their lifetime.
Getting your teen the help they need in their developmental years can make a huge difference on how the rest of their lives turn out to be. Here at The Academy for Adolescent Wellness, we believe that a person doesn’t need to be an adult to find recovery and live a life without substances. Early intervention is key to getting your adolescent or teen the help they need, in a setting that doesn’t disrupt their academic career.
Our program was designed to treat the core issues that lead to risky behaviors such as substance abuse, self-harm, eating disorders, and other harmful acts. We believe that in order to properly treat your child, we must first evaluate and diagnosis any underlying mental or physical illnesses that can be attributed to their disruptive behaviors. Our main goal is to provide teens and adolescents with the tools necessary to not only live a life free of substance, but also a full life.
The unique part of our After-School Recovery Program is that it allows your child to still focus on their schooling while attending treatment after school. We provide transport from schools to our center in Davie, FL where our staff will work with your teen individually to address their issues, learn critical problem-solving skills, and find solutions. We currently provide after school teen mental health and substance abuse therapy to Miramar, Davie, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Plantation, Cooper City, Hollywood, Hallendale, Plantation, Weston, and more.

What to Expect When Your Teen Enters Treatment

Many people believe falsely that you must have thousands of dollars to attend rehab when all insurance plans are now required to cover substance abuse and mental health treatment.
